What is Minecraft for consoles like?

I have Minecraft pocket Edition for iOS, and I was wondering what the version for consoles is like. I have a few questions if someone could answer them please.

1. Do you get updates like the iOS version? Or is everything there already?
2. Is it online with other people?
3. Are there many more features than the iOS version?
4. What differences are there to the iOS version?

Added (1). Can you make your own Creative world and make it into a Survival one? So you can play in your own world?

2. Yes, By creating an xbox live party
3. There isn't really a big difference
4. I think the IOS version has the camera but its abit behind on PC with updates

And there should be an option to toggle creative so you should be able too.
