My little cousin loves minecraft and he's been playing on a world forages, but jumped off a cliff by accident and has lost all his things. I've been searching for hours as he is whining constantly for me to get them back. Thing is I've not found them anywhere, do they just disappear afterawhile or am I not looking hard enough?

From what I've read, the items only stay there for five minutes after the player's death unfortunately.

Items in Minecraft that have been left on the ground disappear after a certain amount of time. If you've been searching for hours for the lost items they have certainly already left the game. Sorry about that.
