Are you sure you are putting in the right password?
You should try typing in your email instead of username, or username instead of your email. I'm not sure which is correct, but I remember I couldn't log in with one of those, even though it said "Username or email".

Try it out. If it doesn't work, you should do the "forgot password" things.
