Minecraft Forge with no minecraft.jar on Mac?

I'm trying to download Minecraft Forge on my Mac and I'm having problems.

1. There's no 'minecraft.jar' folder.
2. If I type in '~/Library/Application Support/Minecraft/bin' or anything like it into my finder nothing comes up. I don't even think I have a Library folder.

There's a folder just called 'minecraft' with 2 other folders inside called 'client' and 'server' but no 'minecraft.jar' and from what I have seen, that is what you need. I tried creating a folder but it didn/t work.

I have minecraft 1.7.5 and my Mac is OS X 10.9. I really want to get mods, but I can't do that without forge. Can someone help?

Did you look in your %appdata% file? Search there if you haven't. Just type in %appdata% and you may find your Minecraft.jar

You just download the installer and your pretty much all set

If you want to access the minecraft folder, go to finder, and press command+shift+G and press application support and press minecraft and there you go, there's everything
