How to stop my minecraft laging?

On Minecraft It has started to lag since I put on these mods:

Not Enough Items
Damage Indicators
Artifice
Bibliocraft
Soulshards Mod
Universal Electricity
Galacticraft
ICBM sentry and gadgets (no explosives)
Resonant induction
Atomic Science
ReiMinimap
Dynamic Lights
Rotten Flesh to Leather
Forge_NBTEdit
Mystcraft
Buildcraft
Buildcraft Tools
Custom Recipies
Tinkerers Construct
Shaders Mod with shaders
Archemedes Ships
Tux Weapons
MrCrayFish Furniture Mod
Tubestuff
Dimensional Anchor

I have got rid of some other mods but these are the ones left. I want minecraft so I can travel between worlds and planets and I want it all modern with solar panels but I don't Know what to keep and what not to keep.
Please give me any ideas on how to stop lag generaly?
Please help it is just making minecraft not fun. I would be greatful for anty sudgestions.

Added (1). I use minecraft version minecraft forge 1.6.2.9.10.1.871

I would just say get rid of any other extra mods you don't need, and try and get optifine, cause that should help with framerate and stuff. Also the settings, if you don't care about the graphics that much, change fancy to fast, turn off clouds, vsync off, brightness to bright, smooth lighting off particles off and etc.
Thats really all that can be done.
