I'm trying to play Minecraft with Rei's Minimap and the X-Ray mod, and both mods are causing the game to crash at the title screen. How can I keep the mods, but still fix the crashing? It's rather odd, I've never had a problem with different mods in the past.
Added (1). I have no problem playing Minecraft without the mods loaded (or even with other mods loaded for that matter), but there's something about these two mods that when they're loaded, they make Minecraft crash.
Unless you know how to safely remove both mods completely, your gonna have to delete minecraft completely then redownload it, or you can check if they are both up to date, if they both have all the components and if your pc is buggy
Make sure both mods are up to date, and if possible, refer to the mod's forum post for an incompatibility list and check if the other mod is in the list. Check for any dependencies the mods might have that you may have forgotten to install, such as Minecraft Forge for example. If you have done everything in your power to check for anything wrong and it still crashes, get a crash report and post it on the forum post on one/both of the mods to see if the author of said mods know why it crashes.
