I'm playing a old game I started when I got minecraft, I just recently integrated a mod were you need certain blocks to do what the mod offers. Do the blocks just spawn into the world or do I need to start a new game?
Do blocks from mods appear on previous games (Minecraft)?

They spawn in the new world were new land is generated just venture off a little bit away to
newly rendered land.
