I've tried to get a minecraft resource pack and Downloaded the file (it was.zip) and it gave me a bunch of folders of the resource pack. Then I dragged all the files and placed them in my resource packs folder. Then I opened my minecraft and I checked my resource packs and all it has is default. What am I doing wrong?

Just place the entire.zip into the resource pack folder and try again.

Extract the files and place the folder in "resource packs". How is that even hard?
