So i've been wanting to download the texture pack Girlcraft but i was wondering is it compatible with the version of minecraft we currently have. I have seen some that say that it is compatible but i'm afraid that those are just scams

That depends upon the version of Minecraft you are running. Girlcraft has only been updated to work with Minecraft 1.4.7 thus far, which is several versions old. You can however still easily run older versions of Minecraft with the recent launcher. All that is required is for you to setup a new profile in the launcher and set the version on the profile to "release 1.4.7". The launcher will download any required files when you click on play.
