8gb RAM is much enough for minecraft, I think it will run well. What type of laptop are you talking about?
You may severely lack the resources to run minecraft sufficiently with an Integrated graphics chip, although the Ram and CPU are perfectly capable of running MC under normal circumstances, running with Integrated graphics severely limits performance on most games, the only thing you can try, is to get a trial version of the game and then run it to see if it works.
Checking over the specs for MC it does state that Integrated graphics chips are not optimal, and I've tested it myself, on an 8GB I3 laptop, with similar integrated graphics and it barely ran, lagged all over the show.
Yes it its enough.
Minecraft just needs a powerful cpu, because it is poorly optimized.
If I'm not recording with an amd x4 630 4 cores @2,8 ghz i get about 100fps+
And i got a radeon 4350(intel hd 4600 is alot stronger) and it is still very playable at the 100fps.
And 8gb of ram might also help slightly (i only got 4gb 1333mhz old RAM).
EDIT:
My brother got almost the same laptop, it's a toshiba satelite (slower processor less ram) and minecraft is running very good for him.
