Mincraft is now owned by Mickysoft It will be their new cash cow when they bring in their SaaS (Software as a Service) For minecraft players to play it they will have to pay annual/monthly subscription fees, to use Mickysofts new cloud services, Mickysoft paid $2.5 billion dollars for minecraft so they want their money back from the people thhat play it.

Can you not download the client from Minecraft.net and select that you want to use Minecraft 1.6?
