How to play an adventure map in minecraft?

Ok so i downloaded an adventure time adventure map for minecraft but how do i play it?
i've extraced the file to my saves under.minecraft in appdata but it still doesn't work?
help? I'm on a windows 8 laptop if that helps

Here is how you properly do it.

1.Download the file
2.Place it on your desktop
3.Right click and press extract here (You should get a folder)
4.Go to your computer menu
5.Search up %Appdata%
6.Click on roaming
7.Click on.minecraft
8.Open up saves
9.Put the folder you got from the extraction into the saves folder in.minecraft
10.Close everything
11.Open up minecraft
12.Click Single Player
13. There should be a world that has the name of the folder that you inserted into the saves folder.
