(First of all i have a lot of ram but laggy minecraft.) - I went through looking up how to allocate ram to minecraft and got errors, but then when i looked on another website people were saying that allocating ram to minecraft didn't improve preformance. AFTER All THIS I'm NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK. HOW DO I GET LESS LAG FILLED MC?!

To allocate more RAM, first you need to see how much physical RAM is installed. To check this on Windows, go to your start menu, and type "cmd" into the search box, and hit enter. A black window will appear. In the window hit space, then type "dxdiag". Tell us how much physical RAM you have installed. The number will look like "1234MB". Generally speaking, the first number is usually the number of GB you have installed. To allocate the RAM, here is a great Youtube tutorial:

I have 8gb of ram, and windows.

Reduce settings/low settings. These include: low render distance, graphics to Fast, turn animations all off.
Install optifine 100% guranteed this will boost fps.
Only have minecraft running when using it if you want the best fps possible.
