How to join minecraft LAN worlds? - 1

I want to join my sister in her world so she opens the lan world thing and publishes it but when i go to multiplayer it the world doesn't show up or nothing!

Have you tried direct connecting to her ip address? I had the exact same problem, but in the end I used Hamachi

Make sure you have created an inbound allow rule in the windows firewall for the necessary ports on the host PC.
