I play minecraft ALOT, and I wanted to make videos. As you can tell by my name I'm a girl, so this whole process of getting subs will be very tedious. I recorded some videos, but I didn't like them so I took them down because my microphone was horrible. I bought a recording software for the PC, and I just ordered a turtle beach headset, so I have the whole microphone situation settled out. The recording software is good quality, but it doesn't have an editing software; I could really use a free one. I'm a quiet person, but I'm not afraid or shy to speak out. Since I'm a girl, only one of my female friends plays games, but she abhors minecraft, so I can't record with a friend. Is there anyone who has about 500+ subs out there to give me some advice?

I do not have that many subs, however I have researched this kind of thing A LOT. Firstly, since your recording minecraft, its gonna be hard to be noticed, BECAUSE MILLIONS of 10-13 year olds wanna be just like the big names out there like CaptainSparklez or SkyDoesMinecraft. Try and do something unique with minecraft that hasn't been done before. Next, a free editing software is Windows Movie Maker, just Google it. A turtle beach might not be what you want, because its trying BOTH to record and PLAY sound, I suggest a Blue Snowball microphone, it will have a much higher audio quality. Also, if your computer uses a hard drive, I suggest you get another one. The way a hard drive works, is a mini laser is writing information into a disk while the disk rapidly spins. If it attempts to save your recording AND run the game at the same time you may break your hard drive, also this reduces your frame rate A LOT. I suggest getting an external hard drive, that way you have one hard drive playing the game, the other doing the recording. The last piece of advice I can give you is be patient, FILL UP YOUR TAGS ON YOUR VIDEO, and be sure to render your videos in windows movie maker, rendering a video makes the file size MUCH smaller thus you can use the extra space to make more videos.
