How to get a command block in minecraft pc?

/give [player name] command_block [Amount given]

For example /give Notch command_block 1

You need to OP and gamemode 1 to edit command blocks

Update: Once you have a cmd block you can put the command into it - /give @p command_block 1 - put a button on it and it will give the closestplayer a command block
