How to download and use worlds in minecraft?

The process of opening maps in minecraft is quite easy once you have the hang of it, and no programs are needed.

If you are using a Windows machine:
1. In your start menu search bar, type %appdata%. A folder named "Roaming" should appear at the top of the search results. Open the folder.

2. Look for the folder named.minecraft. Open.minecraft and open the saves folder that is inside.

3. Drag the file you downloaded into the saves folder

4. Open Minecraft and the world should appear in your singleplayer list.

If you are using a Mac:
1. Open Finder

2. Click "Go" at the top of your screen, then click "Go to Folder" and type the following in the text box:
~/Library/Application support/minecraft

3. Unzip the world you downloaded and drag it into the "saves" folder.

I you download a map or world then you would want to transfer it to your.minecraft folder

*Open your start menu
*Type in "run" in small type box
*click on it then type in "%appdata%" then press enter
*click on your.minecraft folder then click "saves"
*create a new folder and name it whatever you want and then transfer the map/world file into the new world folder
*start up minecraft
*play
