During the first day. You should kill 3 sheep and make a Bed That is the most important thing to do! Then get some more food. Make a house to store your stuff it does not have to be huge but shouldn't be small. Make a wooden pic with a crafting table if you can't craft you should visit the minecraft wiki. Get some cobble make a stone pic then go mining With the remaining time. (You should also have a sword) Get as much iron as you can and then go back home and fall asleep (Unless it's day) Then continue to mine and get better armor and better tools. Find Diamonds and mine obsidian to make a nether portal go to the nether find a nether fortress then kill some blazes for blaze rods. When you get back you should also kill Endermen For enderpearls then you can make eyes of ender to find the end portal and slay the ender dragon
HOW TO DEAL WITH MOBS
Zombie - Easy Peezy Just hit walk back then hit again till the zombie dies.
Skeleton - Rush it Run into it and just hit it as fast as you can. (When running into to it zigzag a little bit to avoid firing arrows.)
Creeper - Same as zombie Hit with a sword walk back till it dies.
Enderman - Hit with a sword in the legs rapid fire don't stop hitting till it dies. Don't be intimidated by the high health and high damage they do. And Don't look at them directly until you attack them.
Spider- Hit it with a sword over and over again and don't stop till it dies do it rapid fire like with the endermen.
Witch - So Easy just Sprint into it like you do with a skeleton (don't zigzag) And then hit it over and over again
Rapid fire it will be drinking a healing potion the whole time that your hitting it and it can't do anything to hurt you.
Cave spider- Same as a spider just be extra careful because when they bite you they poison you they also spawn in groups. You should put torches next to each side of the spawner so they won't spawn anymore.
Silverfish - Super weak just hit them.
