How to become a good Minecraft Builder?

So I've been making Minecraft Movies the past three weeks and ever since then I've been building maps. Everything sounds great, right?

No.

Over the weeks, I've looked over a thousand photographs of the best Minecraft buildings and contraptions. Surely it's enough?! No matter how much I look for motivation and encouragement on the Internet photographs, whatever I build looks absolutely terrible; they can DEFINITELY be improved by a vast amount.

Any tips or tricks on how go make a good Nether Brick Castle?
Or, any everyday hints and tricks in how to make a good ANYTHING!

Just keep looking at the pictures and getting motivated. And know what you wanna build and what you want it to look like! Don't just go right in a build off the top of your head. Surely some people can but not all. And if you build something and you don't like it don't get frustrated and give up. Keep trying! Every time you build you will learn new ideas and start to place the new ideas together. Eventually after you keep trying to build different things, you will notice that your creations are starting to slowly get better over time. Its not always an overnight thing!
