How to add a texture pack in Minecraft?

I know what to do, but first off, it won't let me unzip the pack, and B, it won't drag down when I try to add it.
I have the latest version of minecraft.

Have you got winrar that will allow you to un zip, you should be ok just placing the zipped file in the resource pack folder, make sure you have the correct permissions on your computer to access file locations
