Great gaming desktop under $1000?

I have done research on this. Most of the articles were a bit out of date. They said to go to IBUYPOWER.com for prebuilt desktops. I'm not the best at making good choices when it comes to making choices about computers. So I need a little info on this.

Games I want to play…
-Rust
-Minecraft
-DayZ
-Skyrim Online

If you click on the link you can look at the system requirements for the games. I don't just want this computer for a few years I want it to still be running smooth when the newer technology comes out in the long run.

I really want to play games lag free on high/higher settings. "The biggest bang for the buck."

Could you give me some good brands of gaming desktops?

Parts I remembered / Wanted
-Intel 7
-GeForce

Please add info to your answer.

Why would you want an i7 processor? That is a waste of a hundred dollars that could go to your GPU. The i5 or even the AMD FX 6300 and above are better choices for gaming.

For a thousand dollars you would be much further ahead to buy the parts separately and assemble them yourself.

With a prebuilt for a thousand dollars they will probaly try to stick you with a lower mid level gpu and claim it is a gaming pc.

Judging from your wording in your question, it seems like you really don't know much about hardware. (not trying to be rude).

ya id just start clean slate.

this is your best source for help with what parts to choose.

make a post, and go into detail about everything, like what you want to do with your computer, what things you need other then core components (such as monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers/headsets, windows operating system) and if it has to be included in your posted budget or not.
also information on the games you want to play, what settings/mods you wish to run at, and also very important is the resolution you wish to play at.

for $1000 id say something like
i5-4670 (4670K if you want to overclock. The i7 doesn't offer much performance over i5s in gaming, since not many games make use of the extra threads yet)
any cheap H81/H87/z87 motherboard, (if getting K model cpu for OC, you will want a decent Z87 motherboard, like $140+ atleast)
8GB ddr3-1600 ram
nvidia gtx 760 or amd r9 270x graphics card
corsair TX650 power supply (or one of similar quality)
2TB 7200rpm hdd
128GB SSD (optional, and depending on what you need, on your budget may not be the best thing. You can always get one later too)
then get a decent case (look for airflow, cable management, dust filters, noise reduction features) which you like the looks of enough to get. A mid-atx tower is best, full tower is really only needed for water cooling.

To be honest the games your looking to play will not need many high end parts… Also did you mean elder scrolls online? Bit confused with that one
