Good substitue for the i5 4670k?

This is my current to be gaming pc http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2R5Uh

One BIG problem… Over my budget. I haven't even picked a case yet:/ anyways, please suggest maybe a cheaper processor. I think this might be a little overkill for me. If necessary, please please Please suggest a new motherboard to accompany that new processor, preferable cheaper XD thank you so much! Also, if necessary… A cheaper anything! I'm pretty set on graphics card, psu, storage, and operating system. Is my ram maybe too much? I'm only counting on playing games such as battlefield 3, modern warfare 3, skyrim and maybe some minecraft.

If you don't plan on overclocking, then it's pointless going with a K (unlocked) model of the i5. Can save $35 and go with the Core i5 4430:

Some cheaper, but just as good RAM would be G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB 2133MHz:

So, with those 2 changes, already brought price down by almost $50.

Build completed for under $1000 (I guess this is your price limit)

you have chosen one of the worst GTX 770. The one from MSI is better and even cheaper!

or a $900 build if the GTX 770 will be replaced by a GTX 760

it's still a very good gaming PC

Here is best specs you need…
Get a fx 8350 or 9370 in place of i5 and this motherboard GA 78lmt-usb3 or asus m5a97 le.
With the money saved invest on cabinet you want…

I agree with kishav except with a 990fx board the chipset is just a little bit better than the 970 and id say the fx 8320 with your cpu cooler then just oc it to the speed of the 8350
