Hey ya'll! Ever since I got minecraft pc finally I've been looking to do a minecraft lets play series, and I finally created a youtube channel (WhiteGirlGamer or youtube.com/starbucksgamer for the url) Each series will be called the starbucks series #1 or 2 or whichever. First I will be playing minecraft, but I need ideas for what exactly I should do to start out. I was thinking of starting a single player survival world, but would that be too boring to start out? Please leave any ideas for what I could do to spice up my single player survival series if I choose to do this (I'm open to other ideas too
Lastly, slightly unrelated, but any ideas for a good intro so my videos aren't super boring? Thank you guys so much, and leave your youtube channel in your answer if you want and I'll sub to you.
Good ideas for a minecraft lets play?
A few things;
1. Minecraft Let's Plays are so common, and the new ones get buried. I would venture to say there's about 300 uploaded every few hours that don't get any attention. You will probably be one of them. So you need to build an audience before you start doing Let's Plays.
2. Your youtube username WhiteGirlGamer kind of sounds a bit. Iffy. I don't really see why your skin color matters. And if you're playing on with the whole stereotypical White Girl thing (Starbucks, iPhone, Uggs, etc.) then you can do it, but a lot of people find people like that simple minded and even shallow.
3. Starbucks Gamer. Wanna know the problem with that? You used a term that is trademarked by the biggest coffee shop franchise on Earth. You will never be able to monetize your videos, meaning if you're going to do this, it's going to earn you $0.00. Not to mention even if you don't make money you're going to get flagged for copyright infringement.
4. Just because you got a PC doesn't mean you're set for Minecraft. Minecraft is a very demanding game graphically, so I hope you have the correct hardware. Whatever your framerate is now is going to be slashed in half using a recording software. Not to mention you need a good headset, people with bad microphones are the worst of all LPers. You're playing a game with commentary, the commentary has to be clear and non-ear hurting.
Basically you're being very unoriginal and you won't be allowed to make money off of this. I don't care if this isn't the answer you want to hear, but it's the truth. Sorry.
Pixelmon
Lots of youtubers do that, its not that original but I still do it. My first video was a speed build of a roller coaster in minecraft. I suggest doing a hunger games maybe or a speed build of some sort.
