Gift codes aren't free.
You have to buy them exactly as you'd buy the game, and you just get a code you can give to someone else instead of downloading the gamr yourself. Nobody is just going to buy the game for you.

Also, accounts are free to make. Having an account doesn't give you the game. The game still has to be bought separately.
