Does RAM have drivers and where can I update them?

Ok so I upgraded my RAM from 8Gb - 16Gb but It appears to be having a reverse effect on my computer. Lots of programs and games are being slow/slower then when I had less ram, here is an example:
Minecraft 8Gb ram = 60FPS (even when using programs such as fraps)
Minecraft 16Gb ram = 30-50FPS standard and 10-20 FPS using fraps

Black Ops 2 8Gb ram = 60FPS
Black Ops 2 16Gb ram = 5FPS and now it doesn't even launch

Cod Ghosts: 8Gb ram = 30FPS MP
Cod Ghosts: 16Gb ram = 10FPS MP 20FPS SP

I know ghosts is already reported to be laggy but as you can see. Since the ram increase, it has become worse. After looking for solutions all I came across was update java/DirectX etc… But that didn't work. I then found someone saying update "ALL" your drivers. I have updated as many drivers as I can (including my monitor and usb devices) and it still doesn't make a difference. The only driver I didn't update is my RAM because I can't locate the area to update it. My friend told me you don't get RAM drivers but my other friend say you do (they are both pc smart so I don't know which to believe) So what should I do? Is their a fix for excessive lag when increasing RAM? Is their drivers for RAM and how do I update them? Please Help!

P.S here are my specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10 GHz 2.20 GHz
Ram: 16.0GB
GFX: nVidia Geforce GTX 460

I've never had RAM drivers but I mean I guess it depends on your RAM brand? I'm positive there's not drivers needed but when you installed the RAM did you do it correctly? You need to put one set in the first and third slots and the second set in the second and fourth slot. Order matters for RAM. That's the only solution that I can think of, as of now.

You are pushing it with that graphics card, I don't believe in updating drivers unless there's a serious prob. And it looks like yours is the card.

No it does not. You can update the motherboard's bios firmware. May or may not help. Sounds more like the ram you bought is not running at the same speed as the old ram. Did you buy the appropriate ram?

No, there are no drivers needed for RAM.

I would suspect that when you added the additional RAM that there's a difference in either the type or the speed of the RAM. (Mixing brands can also sometimes cause issues.) If the new RAM is a different type of speed, then the computer has to slow everything down to match the speed of the slower RAM. (The faster RAM can run slower, but the slower RAM can't be speeded up.) You may not have purchased the correct RAM.

Now, some motherboards may need to update to their BIOS to be able to handle 16 GB of RAM. (The standard today is only 8 GB), You can check the PC maker's web site to see if they have an update to the BIOS. But that is not a "driver for RAM".

I would also check to see if there's an updated driver for the video card as the additional RAM may not be supported by the current video drivers.

If 8gb did was not good enough, 16 will not help.
What operating system are you using?
windows 32 bit has a 2.2gb max. Device manager lists all devices that need drivers.
What display adapter are you using?
These 2 things matter as much as RAM.
Can you allocate more RAM to your display adapter.
It sounds like you are playing games. It will help if you go to gamer sites and read, read, read.

RAM does not have drivers.

Make sure your running the leatest updates on your video card drivers from nvidia which are updated reguarly. Windows updates check that too.
