I'm just curious to know if netflix uses more mbph then online gaming would. And if it depends on the game being played as to how much internet is being used? For example, minecraft does not have a high level of graphics so in my mind, it wouldn't use as much data to play online as Gears of War might. Am I wrong?

It depends on the system you are running. From what it sounds like, you are talking about a cell phone, in which case netflix would us more because it is on going internet, where as a game is just using internet every now and then, and not as much each time.
