I remember vague bits of it, like they set their house on fire in the beginning, and they were all npcs, but then a player came and ****** up the village (I remember lava in the library), so the three friends went on a quest. This has literally been almost 6-7 years, so it'd be awesome if anybody else remembers this

Sounds really familiar was it an animation or was it actual players? Because it sounds similar to something the Yogscast would make but i don't know, I haven't even thought about minecraft youtubers in years. Sounds like it's be fun to find out what the series was though.

It might be one of the Yogscast's series. They tend to burn down one house a season.
The problem is that there are *hundreds* if not thousands of Minecraft series on youtube. Without further details finding a 6 or 7 year old series is going to be almost impossible.
