Could a PS1 Handle Minecraft?

Considering that the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of Minecraft are already pretty limited (especially the small world size) compared to the PC version, there's no way it'd work on the PS1 or PS2.

Haha. No. Neither the PS2 nor the PS1 remotely have anything close to the computing power required to run even a severely stripped down version of Minecraft.

Even the PS3 has severe limitations when it comes to Minecraft, which is very memory intensive.

It would be possible on a ps2 and a ps1, although the version on ps1 and ps2 would just have surivival and be on a beta build of the original minecraft, the worlds might only be 500x500 blocks big and only allowed for 10 worlds

It could work well if you have a very good graphics card like me

I also have a similar question. If i take one of the alpha versions of minecraft, could it work?
