It's probably a far stretch but could anyone recommend a good laptop that can run this game/Sims 3 + all expansion packs/Minecraft? For up to $500? Or at LEAST Sims 3? I know DA: I will probably make it go past my budget but still… My current desktop can barely run TF2, and I just want some freedom here. Something with touchscreen would be nice, but I don't want to push it. I don't need to max anything, just be able to play something comfortably for once.

Why don't you upgrade the desktop with a new Motherboard, CPU, and RAM. You can certainly do that and have a darn good gamer! You really can't do a gamer laptop for $500 that is for sure. Just a thought.
