Can't download minecraft

So I bought minecraft today and made an account. Then when I was trying to download, I clicked minecraft.exe and it says my security settings don't allow this? How do I change these security settings so I can download minecraft? I have windows by the way and use internet explorer

Well you have a firewall and it is telling you that this is a unknown program. Most virus come as.exe so what you need to to is go to Windows Firewall and set up Firewall to ask you if you want to keep or just block. You want to notify me when windows wants to black a new app.
