Ok, so I recently ordered the parts for my gaming PC and they should arrive here tomorrow. Spend around $2250 in total, includes keyboard, mouse, monitor, and other appliances I will need. One thing I'm concerned about is internet connection once it gets here. With my computer, I plan to play many steam games, such as CSGO, H1Z1, Rocket League, and Minecraft, etc. I also really want to upload videos to YouTube and stream on twitch at high quality if possible. At the moment, my family owns a router and modem that is connected to at least 10 systems, including laptops, phones, game systems, etc. We have a DSL internet connection (through the phone line) and our ISP is Fairpoint Communications. Our internet connection is decent, but I have been in contact with them recently and are working to improve that now. I'd like to get my own set of router and modem for my own personal use. And yes, I have a phone line jack in my room. So what is the best router and modem for my needs? I'd like to get the best speeds I possibly can. I can provide further details if needed.

Get gigabit Ethernet supported routers. Cat6 cables recommended stay off your wireless. Your limiting factor may be traffic and your isp.
