Best laptop under $300 that plays cds/dvds?

I don't like the laptop i have now because it can't download anything but music and videos and my mom said that if i give her my current laptop, she'll buy me a new one as long as it's under $300.
So I'm looking for a good laptop that can play cds/dvds and games like the sims 3, minecraft, and audacity etc. It has to be high speed for school work and high definition. And portal, with a pretty decent (good/big) size screen. And lots of storage space. No chromebooks though (Not a fan of them). (Sorry for the way i typed this, I'm tired.) Also I don't know much about laptop features like roms and stuff like that so i asked here because it was confusing. Thank you in advanced
I WILL BE REWARDING BEST ANSWER TO WHOEVER HELPS ME FIND A LAPTOP WITH ALL THE FEATURES I'm LOOKING FOR!

Added (4). i'd prefer if you stay under $300 but i think $350 will be ok also. But if i can't find one that meets my needs, that's no more than $350 i'll ask my mom.

There are many cheap low performance laptops sold now that are short or RAM memory and have small size non-upgradable storage, with processor power similar to a smart phone. It makes people think that $300 is a lot of money. The US Dollar has been pushed down in value compared with foreign currencies. It is what our President wanted to do and is what he accomplished. Imported products cost more than a month ago and laptops are made from imported parts by labor in China.

This is now the standard for low budget everyday usage laptops.

Since $350 plus tax is above the limit, we have to lower specifications and see where else a laptop can be purchased.

An HP brand AMD A12-9700P Laptop is on closeout at Best Buy
http://www.bestbuy.com/...Id=5789104
It is an AMD CPU instead of Intel. It has only 6GB Ram instead of 8GB. There's no touchscreen. No bluetooth. 2x usb2 and 1x usb3.
The HP web site and product photo says it has a web cam and should have mic and does have a DVDRW.
The AMD A12-9700P is about the same CPU and graphics as an i3-7100U
It has a smaller battery and probably then shorter battery life.
It is the best you can buy today at $300 plus tax.

You should get low-medium playing on GTA V and sims 4 plays ok

Laptops with weak cpus and low lighting have long battery life
DVDs do burn through a battery fast so try to be plugged in with a dvd running.

Everything else is far weaker.
