I would also like to know if this is a good build for gaming. Will games like The Sims 3, Minecraft, L.A. Noire, Borderlands, and Tomb Raider run well on this?

Also, if I were to put all of this together, would the computer have sound? Do you need to buy a sound card or does it come in the motherboard?

The computer parts are compatible. All is good.
As for the game you listed, its more than enough with the 760
You don't need to buy a sound card, the motherboard has it built in.
