Try the game called "The Forest" It's like minecraft with slenderman and its survival! X. You can also craft in there like you can cut trees to make shelter etc.

That describes minecraft but since you don't want that I would say RUST, but any of the Elder Scrolls games or fallout games kinda work. Steam has a crafting category on their site I'd go there if you don't like my suggestions. Also you can get no-steam games via torrents

Ah it seems you haven't heard about Don't Starve it's a good survival game also come with many mods too, there are also Sir You Are Being Hunted it's a survival game where you are on an island and being hunted by a machine and two more are FTL (Faster Than Light) and Terraria, Cheers!
