How to find my minecraft server IP? - 2

I've been looking all through google and have sat through tutorials yet none of them actually tell me. My computer IP does not work with it, even when i type:25565 amd the end or start of it. I'm beyond frustrated, please help.

If using the client and server on the same computer, you could simply use 127.0.0.1, which is the default ip of the local computer. If this doesn't work, then you may have security software blocking port 255565 and will have to give minecraft permission to use this port before it will work. You can know if your security/antivirus software is the problem by temporarily disabling it and if your minecraft server shows up as active, you know the security software was blocking the port.
