How to co-op on Minecraft Pocket Edition?

My friend sent me the days for co op and the port but I don't know what to do with it. She den me it so we could play together. What do I do with it?

It's annoying, but you can only join someone game if they are in your area. As a friend of yours if he wants to play it. Go on survival or creative. Then ask him to go on survival or creative. Then it will say on your screen that he has joined.
