I downloaded to newest version of minecraft on my friends laptop since I don't have a PC anymore. It's a very old laptop, probably about 8-10 years old. I downloaded to version of Java it told me to download and when I tried to log on it crashed and said it was a driver error or a graphics error. I pressed the fix problem and my nvidia is up to date, or at least it says I do, and it still crashes every time. I tried it on my dads newer computer to see if it was the oldness of the computer and it did the same exact thing. How do I fix the problem?

You have very old Laptop and he nomore suport opengl 2.0 (cuz new version must have opengp 2.0)Try to download older version of minecraft. If you have optifine iin minecraft delete it cuz optifine make your game crash.

Well for a start the older the laptop the more it shall crash and also the new update from a while ago took up a lot if memory so DON't update your game, it also may be crashing because you might already have a lot of games on there?
