I bought my pc about 3-4 weeks ago and I haven't had internet and i couldn't download any games off steam but I got minecraft off my brothers computer i maxed minecraft out and i got about 320 FPS max i thought that was weird considering I have a new GTX980 and my brothers GPU was upgraded when i got my new PC his gpu now is EVGA GTX960 from a GigaByte GTX760 and his minecraft was getting about 400 FPS better than my PC fast forward about 3 weeks my internet is fixed I have a new beast rig at-least I thought I did so I buy GTA V I max everything out in the graphics menu then next thing I know Lag like 20 Fps btw this is first person mode it gets fairly smoother when i play in 3rd person mode anyway I turn the graphics down then I get like 50 fps but lags when I crash my car so I'm thinking "i can live with this" Oh wait i'm out in the country bushy area now its dropping down to like 19 Fps when I go near grass and bushes so i test out gta on my brothers PC his settings are higher than mine and way smoother his fps are 50. So then I try skyrim out its perfect but I decide I want the best ENB (Graphical Modifications) so I get it its RealVision ENB, Climates Of Tamriel and Long Denser Grass I get 30-40 FPS With those mods, thats FPS I would have got with my old GTX760. In Minecraft now I get 100-230 FPS Max, and My brothers max FPS have dropped to 100 if he's lucky its really weird both our cards were brand new when we were getting higher FPS like on the day brand new.
Added (1). I've tried over clocking My GPU with MSI afterburner it didn't help at all I can't overclock my CPU because its not a K version my brothers Cpu and Gpu are definitely overclockable and way my specs are MSI Frozr GTX 980 4GB, Intel i7 4790, 8GB RAM, SEAGATE Barracuda 3000GB hard drive.
