As the title says. If i download the decocraft 2 mod for minecraft 1.7.10 off of skydaz will it work for 1.8? The dowload from the other websites seem no different from the 1.7.10 version besides added stuff… Maybe. I don't know i suck at installing mods so i hope it does Thanks!

Possibly. If anything goes wrong you can always force update to reset to vanilla.

SInce Mojang has still yet to develop & release a standardized modding API for Minecraft, any mods you pick up will generally be restricted to a SPECIFIC VERSION of Minecraft as any official updates (especially major updates, like from 1.7.x to 1.8.x) can easily break mods in the process.
Minor mods (like going to 1.8.5 to 1.8.7) have a lesser chance of breaking mods, as these are more bug fixes, but they can still break a mod if the necessary file it utilizes gets modified by Mojang.
