I know from watching so many other videos that you obviously need the.bin file. But when i go to minecraft on my finder (its a mac). I can't seem to find the.bin file in minecraft. But i can see resource packs, saves, logs, and mods. I have tried repeatedly to put the mod i want (the lucky block mod) in that mod folder but it won't work. I have also downloaded forge but it still did not work.

Make sure the mod you are using matches the minecraft version. Lucky blocks mod 1.6.4 would go for minecraft version 1.6.4 read the description of the mod in case it requires another mod loading program (forge, mod loader, etc) there may also be a instillation tutorial to put the mod in. this tutorial may help
