Laptops that can run Minecraft?

Hi can anyone help me find a decent laptop or can tell me what to look for in one. I'd like to be able to run Minecraft near-perfectly and under $500.

Minecraft can run on minimal specs. I had it working on a 2008 netbook with only 1GB of ram and a 1GHz Intel processor.

But things have improved since then and Minecraft should run fine on an i3. Anything that has like an i5 Intel or the AMD equivalent will do. But ask someone in a store before finding out it won't work on something.

Also, they will cost under $500.
