How to connect a computer tower to a HDTV?

How do I attach my old PC tower to my 40 inch hdtv so I can get a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse so I can sit on the couch and my kids can play Minecraft and i can Google stuff thank you by the way I do not have the monitor

You need a VGA to HDMI converter. As shown in this video

Depends on your TV and Graphics card.

If you have a TV with a DVI connector, or a VGA one, use that. If you have a Graphics card with a HDMI out, use that.

You may want to get a new graphics card. VGA to HDMI is UGLY as can be.
