Does minecraft create viruses?

Since i downloaded minecraft to my laptop, my laptop started to slow down…
should i delete it?

Minecraft does not create viruses. Downloading minecraft from anywhere but the official minecraft site, however. DOES create viruses. Where did you download it from?

If you have a virus, deleting minecraft won't help you.
